Krillion
How to Play Krillion
Choose your mode
Select Classic for seven prompts or Endless for a run with three tanks of air. Then press Begin descent.
Read the prompt
You have 25 seconds to think of an answer that fits the category. Keep a valid option ready while considering a less familiar response.
Submit your answer
Type your response and press Dive. An accepted answer receives a rarity tier and points; each point adds 10 metres of depth.
Check the result
Read the points and depth gained before pressing Next. In Endless, also check your air: a missed or passed prompt costs a tank.
What Is Krillion?
Krillion asks you to find an uncommon answer that still fits an open trivia prompt. Accepted answers earn rarity points, which become metres of depth in an ocean dive. A familiar answer can be valid yet move you only a short distance. This page features PlayDaily's independently made unlimited version: Classic offers seven prompts per run, while Endless uses a supply of air to determine how long you can keep diving. Neither mode has the original game's once-a-day limit.
Classic vs Endless
Both modes reward uncommon valid answers. Choose a fixed round count or keep playing with an air limit.
| Feature | Classic | Endless |
|---|---|---|
| Length | Seven prompts per run | Continues while you have air |
| Time per prompt | 25 seconds | 25 seconds |
| Run limit | Ends after the seventh prompt | Starts with three tanks; misses use one |
| Scoring | Rarity points turn into depth | The same points-to-depth rule |
| Replay | No daily cap | No daily cap |
Scoring & Rarity
A correct answer is only part of the goal. Its rarity tier determines the points, and every point adds 10 metres to your depth. These are the tiers listed by PlayDaily for this version.
| Tier | Points | Depth gained |
|---|---|---|
| Plankton | 4 | 40 m |
| Too Clever | 8 | 80 m |
| Schooler | 16 | 160 m |
| Rare | 32 | 320 m |
| Deep Cut | 64 | 640 m |
| One in a Krillion | 100 | 1,000 m |
Scoring example: a 32-point answer adds 320 metres. In Classic, seven 100-point answers total 700 points and 7,000 metres. This is a calculation from the scoring rules, not a promised result.
In Endless, track air as well as depth. Passing or missing a prompt uses a tank; the in-game rules say the highest tier restores one.
Strategy & Tips
- Confirm the selected mode first. The embedded player may open on Classic or remember your last mode; this guide focuses on Endless. Check the mode label before Begin descent so you know whether the run ends after seven prompts or when air runs out.
- Keep one valid response in reserve while thinking of a less familiar one. A missed prompt costs air. An accepted familiar answer can still add some depth without using a tank, so avoid spending the full timer searching for a rare response.
- Check the points and depth together to understand the result; every point adds 10 metres. The rarity tier explains why two valid answers can move the dive by different amounts.
- Read the feedback before Next. The next timer starts with the next prompt, so use the result screen to review your remaining air. Decide whether to continue or save time for the next category while the current result is still visible.
- Treat rarity and survival as separate decisions. A rare response adds more depth because its tier awards more points, but trying to invent an answer until the timer expires can cost air in Endless. If no valid response comes to mind, weigh the remaining seconds against the cost of passing. After an accepted response, use the points and depth feedback to pace the next prompt; it is a guide to this result, not a promise that an answer will score the same way again.
Krillion Unlimited vs the Daily Version
The name can refer to two related but separate experiences. The original Krillion is the daily game at krillion.io, where everyone gets a shared challenge on a daily schedule. This page embeds PlayDaily’s independent adaptation, which is also presented as Krillion Unlimited. Its Classic and Endless modes can be replayed without waiting for the next daily puzzle.
Unlimited describes replay access, not an endless individual session. Classic ends after seven prompts. Endless continues with three tanks of air, and a missed or passed prompt uses one. Both PlayDaily modes use a 25-second timer, award points for accepted answers according to rarity, and convert each point into 10 metres of depth. Choose the version by the schedule you want: the original for its daily format, or PlayDaily for repeatable runs and two modes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Krillion Unlimited different from the daily Krillion?
Yes. The original Krillion at krillion.io presents a shared daily challenge, while this page embeds PlayDaily’s independent adaptation, also called Krillion Unlimited. PlayDaily offers Classic and Endless modes with no daily play cap. The names describe related trivia games, but the provider, schedule and available modes differ. Check the game source label above if you want to open either version directly.
What happens when I run out of air in Endless mode?
Endless begins with three tanks. A prompt you pass or miss costs one tank, and the in-game rules say that the highest answer tier can restore one. When no air remains, the run ends and the results screen summarizes your dive. Accepted answers do not automatically consume a tank, so the key decision is when to use the timer and whether to pass.
Which Krillion mode should I start with?
Choose Classic if you want a fixed seven-prompt run and a clear endpoint. Choose Endless if you want a longer session whose length depends on your accepted answers, passes and remaining air. Both use a 25-second prompt timer and the same rarity-to-depth scoring rule. You can switch modes before beginning another run, so the first choice is a low-stakes way to learn the controls.
What is Krillion, and how do answers score?
Krillion is a trivia game that rewards valid answers according to how uncommon they are among accepted responses. PlayDaily shows a rarity tier and points after a correct answer, then adds 10 metres of depth for each point. A familiar answer can still be correct but earn less distance. For another short challenge, try RNGdle, or browse the games directory to compare formats.
Is Krillion free, and do I need an account?
The core PlayDaily browser game is free to start and does not require you to sign in. Optional paid extras are separate from playing a solo run. The source may change its account or payment options, so check its current page before using any additional feature. If you prefer an audio puzzle, Songless is another browser game in this collection.
Can I play Krillion more than once a day?
Yes. The PlayDaily adaptation has no daily cap, and its result screen offers a way to begin another run. Each run still ends under the mode’s rules: Classic stops after seven prompts, while Endless stops when its air supply is gone. For a daily-only challenge instead, Size It Up has five visual comparisons. The games directory lists both schedules in one place.
How long do I have to answer each prompt?
Each PlayDaily prompt has a 25-second timer. Use that time to think of a response that fits the category, but keep a valid fallback ready in case a more unusual idea does not come to mind. An accepted answer earns its rarity points; passing or letting the prompt expire costs air in Endless. The game’s feedback shows the outcome before the next prompt starts.
Does Krillion Unlimited have a fixed number of questions?
No. The Endless mode continues while you have air, so its total number of prompts depends on the run. Classic is the mode with seven prompts. A pass or missed prompt uses air, while the top answer tier may restore a tank according to the game’s instructions. The interface shows the remaining supply, which is more useful for pacing than assuming a fixed run length.
